Obtain a free vessel safety check and we will advise you of the mandatory
equipment you need and what additional recommended gear would be great to have.
A partial list of many items we check for on your vessel:
* Proper vessel registration documentation and number placement on vessel
* Navigation Lights, Personal Flotation Devices, Fire Extinguishers
* Proper ventilation on vessels equipped with inboard or I/O engines
* Flame Arrestor and engine compartment on inboard or I/O engines
* Flares and other Visual Distress Signals
* Marine Sanitation Devices/Galleys on vessels so equipped
Additional Recommendations:
* First Aid Kit, Anchor, Fuel Management, Accident Reporting
* VHF Marine Radio, Contacting NJ State Police or CG Auxiliary
* Float Plan, Mounted Fire Extinguisher, GPS Navigation Equipment

Our Flotilla has several qualified Vessel Examiners who conduct vessel examinations at Lee's County Park Marina and other Lake Hopatcong Marinas and sites during the boating season. Check this web page for scheduled Vessel Safety Check dates each spring and summer.
